The
Child Care Worker Component
(CCW) is designed to provide families a venue to improve the physical,
emotional, intellectual, and social development of troubled children
and adolescents who are temporarily in caregiver homes, or involved
in community youth programs and family support programs. We do
this by:
Assisting
in caring for the needs of the children
Encouraging
a positive self-concept for children
& families
Assisting
in planning & leading recreational activities
Providing
stimulating experiences for children
Providing
healthy role models for children & families
Assisting
in the promotion of desirable health and
personal habit for children & families |
Art and Play Therapy is utilized to assist traumatized
children to regain positive childhood experiences.
It is a program that has become very successful in assisting children
to deal with their trauma from abuse and neglect situations.
We
do not believe that Child Protection ends with removing children
from dangerous or neglectful situations. Additional services are
provided to support children who are in care.
