COMMUNITY NAVIGATOR

The Community Navigator sources and facilitates all community referrals and self-referrals at SCFSS to Prevention services. The Community Navigator engages with community referrals and self-referrals and ensures the referral goes to the appropriate Prevention service at SCFSS or community resource. This position supports SCFSS in offering culturally appropriate services to enhance client and family relationships and wellness in nłeʔkepmx and syilx communities by ensuring referrals are directed to Prevention services. The Community Navigator screens all referrals by engaging in conversation, collecting information, consulting with relevant SCFSS staff and external service providers, ensuring effective documentation, maintaining statistics and reporting, and engaging in family and community education.

COMMUNITY PREVENTION WORKER

Full-time | 35 hours/week | Permanent | Ongoing Recruitment

The Community Prevention  Worker supports the planning, development, facilitation, and assessment of programs, events, and frontline Community Prevention services in our five (5) bands in the  Nicola Valley. Under the guidance of the Community Services Team Leader, the Community Prevention Worker works directly in one of our band communities (Coldwater, Lower Nicola, Nooaitch, Shackan, or Upper Nicola) to ensure effective delivery of culturally appropriate Community Prevention services as directed by the community. Communities are experts of themselves and the Community Prevention Worker exercises this expertise and aligns plans to maintain family and community responsibility through strengthening and preserving culture through prevention-focused action, education, and advocacy. The Community Prevention Worker develops positive working relationships with community partners and stakeholders and creates meaningful relationships with community members.

HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment, document and policy development, supporting performance management, and ensuring effective human resources at SCFSS. The HR Generalist completes recruitment activities, from talent acquisition to onboarding and orientation for new hires. The HR Generalist drafts policies and human resources documents, maintains statistics, generates a variety of reports, provides HR support to our member communities, and administers training, professional development, and employee wellness programs at SCFSS. The HR Generalist maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in interactions and maintains standards of practice based on provincial and federal employment standards and law.
