COMMUNITY MANAGER

The Community Manager provides leadership and guidance to the Community Services and Community Development Teams. Priorities within the Teams include community prevention, advocacy, facilitation, planning and coordination, traditional research, and the development and implementation of traditional policies and procedures. The Community Manager will lead a variety of policy and research tables to monitor and evaluate the implementation of new community-based and Elder-advised policies, programs, and initiatives on behalf of SCFSS.

COMMUNITY PREVENTION WORKER

The Community Prevention  Worker supports the planning, development, facilitation, and assessment of programs, events, and frontline Community Prevention services in our five (5) bands in the  Nicola Valley. Under the guidance of the Community Services Team Leader, the Community Prevention Worker works directly in one of our band communities to deliver culturally appropriate Prevention services as directed by the community. Communities are experts of themselves and the Community Prevention Worker exercises this expertise and aligns plans to maintain family and community responsibility through strengthening and preserving culture through prevention-focused action, education, and advocacy.

CYMH COUNSELLOR

The Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Counsellor provides clinical mental health services to children and young people in our five (5) band communities and our urban Indigenous community. The CYMH Counsellor uses trauma-informed practice to deliver culturally appropriate and specialized mental health assessment and counselling services to Indigenous children, young people, and their families.

FAMILY WELLNESS COORDINATOR

The Family Wellness Coordinator is an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, offering holistic support to families through coaching and wellness planning. The Family Wellness Coordinator is responsible for facilitating participant-centered support through the creation of Wellness Plans. The Family Wellness Coordinator works collectively with participants to set goals in all domains of their life and relationships, identify a support network to help meet goals, set realistic timeframes, and implement healthy strategies to achieve their goals.

FINANCE CLERK

The Finance Clerk is responsible for data entry and filing services for the financial program database. The Finance Clerk performs financial recordkeeping duties, including bookkeeping and accounting, and supports processes including payroll, financial reporting, and the financial audit. The Finance Clerk maintains employee, client, and vendor financial information and files in the Xyntax system. The Finance Clerk provides support in coordination with Payroll and Accounts Payable/Receiveable to ensure streamlined financial processes, timely payments, responses to inquiries, and accurate recordkeeping. Additionally, the Finance Clerk completes financial administrative duties, including data entry, filing, photocopying, faxing, word processing, emails and other documentation.

PREVENTION MANAGER

The Prevention Manager is responsible for the oversight and leadership of SCFSS’s Prevention Program. The Prevention Manager works closely and collectively with our five (5) member communities and urban Indigenous community to provide preventative services and supports for our children, young people, and families. The Prevention Manager is responsible for program development and providing strategic leadership and direction to five (5) Team Leaders and one (1) Assistant under the Prevention Program.
